2012 new threats
As February starts, let’s have a look at a very busy beginning of the year.
2012 has started with new threats such as the increase of personal devices in the companies (issue of BYOD), the development and use of social media at work, the creation of new Cloud services, and I’m sure that’s just scrapping the surface.
Our bloggers David Lacey (Six Security Forecast for 2012) and Mauro Israel (Boule de Cristal Securite Internet 2012) have taken the opportunity to give their previsions for 2012. Positive or negative? You decide.
And how could we not mention the Mega Upload closing down that provoked « acts of revenge » from the Anonymous?

The attack already disabled a number of websites: FBI, European Parliament, Disney, Department of Justice , Universal Music Group, the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) or the Motion Picture Association of America (MPAA). Some internet users didn’t even know they were supporting the action of Anonymous.
Another leak revealed: O2 phone number exposed? According to some experts “networks leaking your information is nothing new”.
Thus, in order to brave the year to come, your Net Focus Community will provide you with plenty of resources.
If you want to tackle the issue of BYOD and get key takeaway on the implementation of personal devices in your company, the strategy and policies to introduce, register for our free Webinar. It will take place on the 9th of February and will be presented by Laurent Heslault and Marie Pettersson from Symantec.
